The children of Round Barn Day Care participated in a Trike-a-Thon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The kids spent the week learning about bike safety, then put their newly-learned skills to work in the parking lot of the church. The kids really enjoyed their day and collected a total of $233.00 for the kids at St. Jude’s!
Pastor Rev. Robert Shaw kissed a pig to reward the Congregation for their support of Heifer International.
Pictured along with Doris Thomas, chairperson of the Heifer International fund drive, Reverend Shaw plants a big smooch on this cute little pig. In response to a $300.00 challenge the congregation collected over $900.00 for this worthy cause. The Heifer International Organization provides farm animals for less fortunate people all over the world. This donation will purchase a Heifer Calf, a Water Buffalo, a Goat, a Pig, and a Flock of Chickens. These animals are considered more important than any monetary gifts as they provide ongoing support for the families who receive them.
